Refunds & Returns

We are a small shop and we want you to be happy with what you ordered. If something is not right, email us at info@jakemakes.shop (or just reply to your order email) and we will handle it fairly and reasonably. Here is how it works.

Damaged, misprinted, or wrong items

Email us within 30 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the issue. We will replace the item or refund it, your choice. You do not need to ship the defective item back unless we ask.

Made-to-order and personalized items

Most of what we sell is printed or made to order, and much of it is personalized, so we cannot accept returns for buyer's remorse, wrong size selected, or a change of mind. Please check size charts and personalization text carefully before ordering. If we made the mistake, we fix it at no cost to you.

Limited-release handmade items

Our limited-release handmade pieces are covered by the same damaged-item promise above. Because each piece is unique, an exchange may not be possible; when it is not, we will refund you instead.

Orders that have not shipped

Need to cancel or fix a typo? Email us as soon as possible. If your order has not gone into production yet, we will cancel it and refund you in full.

Local pickup orders

Some in-house items offer local pickup at checkout. Please look your order over when you pick it up; if something is wrong, we will make it right on the spot or follow up by email, whichever is easier for you. The same 30-day damaged-item promise applies from the day you pick up.

How refunds arrive

Refunds go back to your original payment method through Stripe, our payment processor. Card refunds typically arrive within 5-10 business days depending on your bank. ACH bank debit refunds (available to approved business customers) return to the originating bank account and can take a little longer. Any Wisconsin sales tax collected on a refunded order is refunded with it.
