Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of jakemakes.shop and any order you place with us. We have kept them short and readable on purpose. If anything here is unclear, email us and we will explain it in plain language.

Who we are

JakeMakes is a trade name of JAKEMAKES LLC, a Wisconsin limited liability company based in Oshkosh, WI. Jade Seagull and 920shops are also trade names of JAKEMAKES LLC. For everything sold on this site, JAKEMAKES LLC is the merchant of record, so your card statement will show JAKEMAKES.

Orders and acceptance

Our products are made to order: custom shirts, 3D-printed goods, and personalized merch. When you check out, the total calculated by our server (items, shipping, and any tax) is the authoritative price for your order. If a listing contains an error, or we find we cannot fulfill an order, we may cancel it and refund you in full. That is our only obligation for an order we cannot complete, and we will let you know by email if it happens.

Payments are handled by Stripe through our embedded checkout (cards, and ACH bank debits for approved business customers). Card and bank details go straight to Stripe; our site never sees or stores them.

Pricing and tax

All prices are in US dollars. We are a Wisconsin business, so Wisconsin sales tax is collected on taxable orders where required. Orders shipped out of state are not charged Wisconsin tax.

Fulfillment and shipping

Some items are printed on demand by our production partner and shipped directly to you. Others are made in-house in Oshkosh, including our limited-release handmade pieces. In-house items ship by carrier at the rates shown at checkout, or can be picked up locally when a pickup option is offered at checkout.

Returns

Returns, replacements, and refunds are covered by our refund policy. The short version: if something arrives damaged, misprinted, or wrong, email us within 30 days and we will make it right. Made-to-order and personalized items cannot be returned for a change of mind, but if we made the mistake we fix it free.

Intellectual property

When you send us text, artwork, or a logo to put on a product, you must own it or have permission to use it. We may decline to produce anything that infringes someone else's rights or that we consider objectionable. You keep the rights to what you send us; we only use it to make and fulfill your order.

The JakeMakes name, site design, and our own product designs belong to JAKEMAKES LLC. Please do not copy or reuse them without asking.

Limitation of liability

We stand behind what we make, and our refund policy is how we fix problems. Beyond that, our total liability for any claim connected to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, to the fullest extent the law allows.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.
